my 95 vs stageII srt4

one of my friends is calling me out with his stage 2 srt4, its got full exhaust, suspension, drag radials, stage 2 ecu, map, bov, waste gate and a "stage 2 turbo" with a cold air and a boost controler hes making over 20psi of boost too.
estimate 350 hp

dont know what these can go with these mods, last year he ran a 13.1 with just a cold air and suspension and computer.

u think i have him beat? i was in the high 11s 2 years ago should be a little faster with a decent amount of weight reduction and prostars slicks and skinnies. traction is no issue either for me

It's got alot to do with the driver of those cars too, if you don't know how to launch them it's over, and if you don't know how to ride the power of a turbo car its overr, so stick to your guns and your torque monster, race him from a dig, and show him whats up, and if he beats you at the end of the day he still has a dressed up NEON, you feel me?

Yeah but once you see him creeping up on you at about 90, let off and guarantee yourself a win!

there was a stage III w/DR's from W Virginia that raced at our track. He ran a 12.2 @109. Our elecation is ~3000ft at the track and it was a hot dry summer afternoon. I raced him the weekend prior on the interstate. Went from a 50-85mph roll and he put about 4 cars on me.

I live in Idaho. The guy had WV plates and was driving around here. Not sure if he bought it or was traveling cross country or why the car was 1000's of miles away. Here's the link for our 100mph club in 2007. Look at "Sport Compact Qualifiers"
http://www.firebirdonline.com/100mph...007_100mph.htm

This is his entry:
Rick Wickersham 03 Dodge SRT4 2.4 L 109.39

So what are all done to each of the stages? Did you have to order them that way? The only reason i ask, is because a kid here in town has one and i asked him what stage it was and he looked at me like I was an idiot. I coulda swore they came w/ stages 1, 2, and 3 didn't they? Sorry this is off topic.

You can buy the "Staged" mods from any dealership service dept. but you don't get anything when you buy the car unless you add it to the purchase price.

It's funny how some people put down a car that is exactly what it was designed to be: it's cheap, fast, and easy to mod. Except for being FWD, that sounds a lot like an F-body to me.

outcome!!!

first race , i spun for the first 60ft (so did he) and i had him the whole way after the 60 ft he was in my rear view mirror

second race, i had some wheel hop because i was pedeling out of the launch , and had him the whole time again but he was further back at the end

went from a roll on an expressway from 50 to 130 and i was slowly pulling on him by half a car to a car length

my car was also "loading up" and surging bad when i came to stops or after burnouts and after each run it would barely idle. his car had no problems, haha

Sounds basically like we had it figured -- whenever traction is an issue, he's toast. From a roll shows he's making comparable power, and that's saying something because your car obviously is no slouch.

Imagine the outcome when he runs into the average bolt-on car. Glad you had fun - at least not everybody's a hater.
