Thanks to threads like this my brother and I have started the process to swap his 89 Supra to an LS1. There's a decent supply of engine/trans combos out there and a local shop will be doing the physical install. I'll handle the remaining electrical to get the dash & all working like stock. It will take a while but hopefully late next summer I'll have a thread here showing off the results.
Any idea how much the truck weighs? I'm trying to judge about how quick the Supra will be. It'll have a 4L60E with a mild converter (just a little more than stock) and the stock Toyota diff with 4.30s (that I assume is non-locking).
