Coming home from work I had a run in with a LS1 tuned out to be a 2000 A4, Anyways I dont know what we went from on the highway maybe 60 65ish.... He honked 3 times and we were off. Automatically I pulled hard a walked him till he hit the brakes.. We met up at a light started off talked abit and were going to hit it again, He honked and I took off in 1st but let off because he wasnt ready then he flies by me, I wasnt able to pull back up in the short distance. I think I did damn good considering the LS1 top end and how hard I pulled on him.

Must have been a 2.73 stock one. I haven't gotten the chance with an LS1 personally. I can't wait for the opportunity.

Just because he beat an ls1 doesn't mean it "must have been a 2.73 stock one."

With his mods? Pretty much yes it does. A 50hp difference isn't made up with just LTs and gears.

I'd say so, the LS1 being an Auto means he beat the LS1 not the driver. And to be an LS1 with just LT's and gears would be tuff. Not impossible, w/ some killer driving of t56. Depends on how fast they raced up to. I'd think the LS1 would still pull away around 130+

It could be a average LS1. Not every LS1 car is a 12second factory freak. If his lt1 is stout and running mid 13s or so I could see it happening. Especially at a roll the lt1 could very well win being stick.

Yes, but these were roll races. A 13.5 LT1 won't trap what a 13.5 LS1 will.

And?

The stick car is going to hit a much higher RPM and pull much harder against an auto unless the auto is stalled. Depending on the hit the LS1 may not be able to make up the ground it lost.

I really dont see what you have to argue about, The fact remains I pulled the guy, and kept pulling until past 100. Ive heard that higher speeds are the LS1 sweet spot so from 55 - 60. I have full bolts and 3.90s I also dont granny shift. The guy had a Lid, Catback and suspension mods. Just to further blow your mind I beat a LS1 Goat last year before winter, another roll race. Now rather you believe or not is upto you.. Im certainly not here to increase the size of my... personality.

I wasn't trying to insult you. If I was it would have said:

Wow, big mods for that ls1. And suspension mods for a roll race. Wow. Ls1 goat? Holy cow, they are barely good for 13s right? Man, you did great.

I merely said what I would have guessed for them. Looks like I got the auto correct. How about the rearend?
