I finally got my car done

well its been a long 2 years building a new motor combination, and a car. laid off from 2 jobs, and on unemployment alot. but its finally finished.

i got a 96 firebird, 421 cu in, th400, moser 9", stock suspension, full interior car. motor dynoed 761 hp and 619 ft lb. first pass in the car went 10.44 @ 134 ( first time driving it) and now have 6 passes on the combo, got it down to 10.009 @136

should have the spray hooked up soon...

That's one mean motor. Are you running a stalled auto or manual and what type of rear end are you running? Nice car; not what I would use as a daily driver tough.

That is what I would say would get you the best times. Looks like you did it correctly. I am curious what it is going to run once you work all the bugs out and use the nos.

That's an awesome build. I bet it's a ton of fun. 8500-9000 rpm?

Most people don't realize that going from 600-650 horsepower to 750 horsepower on motor with an SBC nearly doubles the price of the build.

thanks, I actually only turn about 8000 rpms max, shift at 7600. and yeah the price on this engine was way higher than my last one. its a full nitrous engine, getting that much hp is pretty good. could have had a little over 800 if I went with a N/A max effort motor. still need a bigger intake, this one chokes it out some.
