Got into tons of action yesterday with my Z

99 Z28-tune,342s,3800 stall,Fast Toy CAI,LTH with ORY,SLP UD,Lid,Bellows,Ported TB,RaceTronix fuel,MT DRs and Racetronix fuel kit with harness.

Ever notice it may be months before you get street kills especially if you have a beater car?

Coming out of Hagerstown MD had an 00-02 Dmax with exhaust mess with me. I BARELY HUNG with him on a roll 30 mph roll. YIKES. Have raced high 12 sec LBZ,LMM before and this truck was tougher. Hats off to you. Looked stock with just a pipe and was dirty.

On the way up to Cecil County drag way ran into a C6 Z06. Guy wanted to play but too much traffic. Like I had a shot anyway???

At the track ran two times with overinflated DRs(wanted to save the rear). First race was against a big block Chevelle wagon. I got destroyed(12.3 at 109 1.7 60 ft vs 11.2 at 122 MPH). Next race was against a GN with huge slicks. Actually out 60 ft him(2.1 vs 1.70) but got killed again(12.3 at 110 vs 11.9 at 108-he let out I believe).

On the way home got into it with a white 97 LT1. Only mods I could see was Borla catback. Sounded clean and was spotless. On a 40MPH roll I got him by about 3 cars to 110 MPH. Didn't want to play again.

Next victim was a loud 06-07 Dmax Dually blowing smoke everywhere. That was pretty ugly. Pulled him as soon as he started to spool.

This must be the first kills I have posted here in about 6 years....

Thanks for reading

No worries dude. Looks like your car runs well. I have not been to 75/80 since it has reopened.

Nice times on a bolt-on car. The LS6 intake will give you a MPH or 2 for sure along with a couple tenths if you keep pulling those wicked 1.70 60's on a bolt-on motor.

Thanks. I can't decide to whether to use it or buy a a friend's modded TPIS LS6 with the 90MM opening. Not sure if that will work well with some done up LS6 heads or a Fast would be better. Fast or the TPIS would be over kill I think now.
Sixtys are easy with these tires. Powerbrake to 1100 and flash the converter. Even at a crap track like 75/80. Keep in mind this car is light(b4c) and I run the stock 16" rims which help keep the weight down

You'll definately see more power w/ a ported fast 90/92 & tb over the ls6 & ported stocker. Some guys have seen an additional 20. If you plan on doing heads I would definately go the Fast route.

Depends on the price and how much power you are trying to make. A Fast 90/90 combo is $1000+. The FAST typically makes around 15-20rwhp over the LS6 with a healthy heads/cam motor, but once again it depends on how much cam you're trying to stick in it, etc.

Mike: Another old timer here. I hadn't been to the board in a while, but checked in today, saw this post and wanted to say hello. I hope that all is well with you.
