I have slicks for it, but wanted a fair race with my drag radials vs his drag radials.

So are you guys good friends?

Those are two very nice cars that seemed fairly even in performance.

Take care of those sweet rides man!
Good runs for American Muscle

Races like that are the better ones imo...

What type of power is the Cobra putting out?

What is your best ET/MPH?

We're more of good "acquaintences", but both give each other props on thier cars. Thanks for the compliments.

The Cobra has never been to a dyno, so not sure what power level he is at. Some seem to think he's north of 700 to the wheels, but not really sure.

I've never had good times at the track (standard excuse) as I am having a hard time finding skinnies even with spacers that will work with my Bear brakes. With my slicks on the back, and my big 18's on the front it travels a lot at the track so I get slower times than I know the car is capable of. I'll leave it at this; its a definate mid 10 second car, but has not yet got there on paper.

They both looked pretty evenly matched there.

If he's running a "kill" tune with 19 lbs he's probably more like 620-640 ish. If he's running straight pump gas he might be right at 600. That 3.4 isn't doing anything for him at 19lbs of boost. With that size of a blower he needs to be pushing 24 lbs with a 1/2 tank of race gas mixed in. Otherwise you could easily make the same power with a 2.6 or a 2.8 KB or Whipple.

Okay. People on the Ford forums were saying the same thing (all sound like excuses if you ask me). So what? The Cobra runs 24#'s of boost, then I run 20#'s of boost. I believe the outcome would be similar. This goes to say nothing that I could just step up to a F1R or F1A unit.

Both cars were matched up well. Both have potential to be faster. It's pointless to point out potential power loosing flaws in each.
