Right, a stock lt1 would run a fox with some mods all day long, then the next gen of mustangs came out, and they were slow too, and then the next gen of mustangs came out and they too were turds, and by then GM was crushing them with the LS1.

Now almost 2 decades after the LT1, they wanna compare a brand new drivetrain/chassis to a Legend, because evolution FINALLY took its course and Ford got something right for once. You will never tarnish the image of the almighty LS1. At the end of the day yer still comparing a virgin hole to that of a 40 yr old hooker, get real. The sun shines on even the dogs a$$ some days. Lets say we combat the 14 years of technology and research it took Ford to finally accomplish this feat with one simple cheap upgrade to the 4th gen LS1, a camshaft, and nothing else, and lets run that race again and see once again how pathetic a mustang really is

Just some quick times for you. I was at the track(1/8th) this past Friday and got a new 5.0 on vid. Not sure if it was an auto or manual, but it ran a 8.6@84mph. There were two LS1 Trans Am's on my video too. Both of them ran 8.8@82-83mph(oops, looks like the left lane lifted or missed a shift looking at the trap speed).

Good runs. On paper the 5.0 GT M6 should beat an A4 LS1 but thankfully we live in the real world where things are not always by the book.

Best i have seen the new 5.0 mustang run is mid 13's at Atlanta Dragway, New Camaro SS running mid to high 13's. Hmmmm. My LT1 doesn't seem so ancient after all. I can't wait to tie up with a new SS in my almost 20 yr old LT1.

What mods are on your LT1? I think the average drivers are getting mid 13's in these 5.0's. If you get an auto 5.0 or an experienced driver with a manual, you'll see these things hitting 12's. The Camaro SS should be low 13's, if it's running mid or high 13's than my LS1 can beat it!
