Running a SC and only managed a 13.7. That is just sad. I know a few kids with these pos cars. They think they are fast, always reving the **** out of them; they sound good, but when they take off I have to laugh. I have seen a few though that were fast; they all had a sc or nos.

.....? I am going to call BS on him being supercharged. That car would have been a mid 11 second car at the very least. 300hp is 300hp, no matter if it is in a Mustang, Camaro or Civic, add a blower and you are north of 400 easy. And his trap speed is WAYYYY off regardless. I run faster than him(and you) with a 40hp disadvantage from the factory and I do not run a power adder.

With that setup he should have drug your *** the whole track regardless if it was a Ford or not.

Now personally I do not like the styling of the newer Mustang from 05-09 but I do know what they are capable of. There are quite a few stock auto cars that run 13.7s or so in NY and I am sure that upstate did not just get all the "fast" ones.

It is one thing to have rivalry but blanket statements like that will surely get you smoked at the track one day by a car that is perceived to be far inferior.

OK,it's your right not to believe my track outing!i really do not have a reason to BS anyone.
My friends mustang is an A5,3.73,drag radial,x-pipe,cut-outs and vortec s/c with the supplied base tune from diablo
you have obviously never ran in 3000'+ DA in the desert. LOL, you will NEVER SEE an auto mustang run a 13 here without a bunch of mods!
oh and for the record your car will NOT outrun me if you do the math my 13.35 at 3000' comes out to 12.8 at sea level where you are at,with the gear you have you should 60' better than 1.85

My wife's 2006 GT ran 13.76@103.2 in 2800 DA...

87 octane...stock tires, no weight reduction, stock as it came from the factory.

Chances are your bud's Mustang is not worked out.....around here it is not much to get 400+ rwhp out of a boosted 05+ GT...

My 08 Bullitt has went 13.2x's=13.3's at 105-106 completely stock... With synthetic oil. lol If mine was supercharged I'd be more than pissed if I wasn't AT LEAST in the low 12's.

My f-body still feels faster though... Maybe it's because it's a good bit louder? It just feels more violent. I'm guessing it is due to the boat load of bottom end the car has.

Good kill either way. Those 3 valves are LS1 killers in my book.

BTW... The 05 and up body style is the ONLY one that they have made since 1973 IMHO!

Have him get a dyno on it. There has to be something wrong. The elevation should not effect him that much with the SC. He should run in the 12s easy.

My runs have been at NYIRP which is 900ft above sea level with DAs that hover around 2800-2900'. I'll still keep my statement, thank you.

Your buddies tune is going to foul the hell out of his plugs then because to be conservative it is DUMPING fuel like the Exxon Valdez.

In this case I believe you didn't beat the car or driver but a 400 dollar Predator hand held and the genius behind it.

I do not wish this to get into a pissing match but you stated you are running at a DA of 3004' I run usually at around 2800-2900' because of the correction for DA. I do not see how 900' is sea level so you will not gain 4 tenths for one and you are only speculating on the gains due to online calculators for two.

I run 1.85 60s due to having Eibach sportline springs up front and stock shocks/struts. My rear springs were cut a full coil too. These were on the car when purchased and I run both sway bars too. Other than the springs being modified the suspension is stock.

Also those can tunes that come in the complete supercharger packages are not meant to run the cars on. It is widely known that you should only use those to drive to a dyno session and that is about it. I was referring to the point that the tune is super conservative so as to not blow the engine as that would result in some pretty decent legal fees from pissed off customers. You beat the tune and person who was being safe, not the car or driver.

Just let me know the dates you will be here.

So you are saying that a Supercharged newer GT ran only 102 mph?
Elevation does play a part, but not like that on a FI car.
That car with a standard Vortech should be running 115-120 mph traps even at that elevation.
Your buddy has one Fudged up Mustang. That car should run those times at that elevation stock. Tell him he wasted his money to put on a Supercharger and go slower...

and the v6,
http://www.dragtimes.com/Ford-Mustan...lip-11042.html.
If he has the cash for the SC he should have the cash for the dyno. And he might as well toss in a quality stall. Then it will really be fast; if he can hook up.

i really don't want it to become a pissin contest either..hell it is not even my car lol
up here the car was running 14.6 @ 94.5 and with the vortec v3 standard 6psi kit it ran 13.59 @ 102.9
so really i think it really runs pretty good without a REAL tune,he knows it needs it! along with a stall.....that vortec is very quiet compared to the vortec i had on my 92......
no hard feelings to anyone that posted. it was fun!
