what is involved in changing an ABS module (00 Z28)

my brother has an 2000 Z28 and it needs a new ABS module. What are his options? Can he put another used one in and be done with it or does the car need to go to the dealer to have the module scanned? Will he need to rebleed his brakes?

hello, your brother can get one from a junk yard from the same year car and swap it out. He will need to bleed his brakes.
