Okay I defently want to upgrade the sway bars on my 94 camaro z28 for better handling. I heard people just upgrade the front sway bar for better handling - The rears really dont matter too much I heard. I was thinking a 35mm for the front and keeping the rear stock one. - Or should I defently upgrade the rear also. I can get a good deal on a 24mm rear sway bar -would it be worth it to upgrade. Also the rear sway bars fit 82-02 camaro/ firebirds - correct?

I have a 35mm in front and it feels great with cornering. Major difference. I left the rears alone but used some poly mounts and poly endlinks.
btw, 24mm for the rear seems a bit much if your concerned about cornering. You can either leave the rear alone or look into a 22mm rear if that's what ya wanna do.

Yeah, 24 is too big for the rear. I wouldn't go bigger than 21 solid/22 hollow. With stock wheel/tire sizes I would stick with the stocker in the rear and maybe even 32 in front.

IMO, start with the 35mm front bar (Sam Strano carries a great 35 mm hollow front bar made to his specs). Then drive around and see how you like it. If the front end feels to stiff, then move on to the rear sway bar (a 21 mm solid/22 mm hollow should work with a 35 mm front bar).

The 24 mm rear bar will probably be too stiff even with the front 35 mm, and your car will have a tendency to oversteer. And yes, the 82-02 Camaros use the same style rear sway bars. Good luck.

I have the Hotchkis Hollow Front/Rear Sway Bars on my SS and they are great/ big difference compared to stock!!!!!

Front only for now. My 1LE 32mm works good for $30, but Strano's would be better.

You keep saying 30$ like that's all it cost you. It actually cost you 30$ for the swaybar itself, and then 17$ for shipping, and then 25-30$ (from your post) for bushings and endlinks. So more like 75$ for the 32mm bar, right?

I keep saying $30 cause thats how much they sell for. Just like RK Sport headers cost $450. Now when I say RK Sport headers for $450 should I actually say RK Sport headers for $450.00, plus $23.56 shipping, $40 for Breslin Headers bolts, $11.49 for header gaskets, plus the oppurtunity cost, etc?

No, no one does that. I think its assumed there are shipping charges and other parts you might need for something. I have NEVER led on that $30 is all it cost me, obviously since I made a post listing costs of each items needed. Ebay sells 1LE's for $29.99 and all I am saying it thats how much I bought my 1LE bar for...$30.

So no its not $75 for the sway bar, its $30 for the sway bar and whatever additional for parts necessary. But I think that is assumed.

So basically just changing the front sway bar to a 35mm would be a huge difference. What's the stock sway bar size on a 94 camaro z28?? I just want better handling around turns and corners. If I could get away buy just changing the front that would be great. - Mike

Stocker is 30mm. 1LE is 32mm for $30 on ebay. Most others 32 or 35 are over $175.

Yes, the 32mm 1LE front bar is a very good upgrade for the money... $30 is a bargain! But you will pay $75 or so including the shipping, endlinks and bushings... This is still a bargain for what you get.

The Suspension Techniques 35mm front bar can be had from Jegs (A site sponsor) for about $130 shipped and comes with the poly endlinks and bushings... This is by far the stiffest bar you can get for the money, but it is really heavy so if weight is an issue to you, then this might not be the bar for you.

The Strano 35mm Hollow bar is essentially as stiff as the ST 35mm solid bar, but is much lighter. The Strano bar is around $200 with the bushings and endlinks... If you have the budget, this is probably the best bar of the 3. It's also the most expensive...

is 12 extra pounds with solid bar really going to make a difference over all. your going to add 12 pounds to a car easily if go from 16 inch rims to 17inch rims. if you go to a fiberglass ram air hood from a stock hood your loosing about ten pounds. if you autocross go with solid. i dont get whats everbodys deal with hollow or solid.

Also, the Strano bar is something like 17lbs lighter then your normal solid 32mm bar. Just something to think about. And 17lbs is a lot of weight off the front of an fbody.
