Right rear tire rubbing, need advice
First I did search this fourm before I posted, but really didnt find what I need.
So I just bought my old car back and the previous owner lowered the car I say by a 1 to 1.5" and added 18" TT with 295/35r18 on the rear. the car has eibach springs and bilstein shocks with a adjustable panhard bar.
Here is the problem the tire is rubbing on the fender lip, I rolled the lip up just a little but its still rubbing. Also I was backing out of my grandparents driveway in reverse yesterday and their turn around in the driveway slants down. Well it felt like I wadded the tire up in the fender well and it took a good chunk out of the tire. So can I adjust the panhard bar to get rid of this? say extend it out by 1/2"? or is their a procedure anywhere on adjusting the panhard.
Thanks for any help yall!!

Re: Right rear tire rubbing, need advice
Yes, you need to center the rear end with the panhard bar adjustment. You'd really like to align the rear end right behind the front end, but it works pretty good to even up the fender gap then if it drives Ok, you're good to go. When the guy lowered the car, he should have adjusted it back to center.

Re: Right rear tire rubbing, need advice
I think it is because of the extra weight of the spare tire on that side. I have the same problem with my 97 V-6 with 17x11 ZR1 rims the right side rubs if I hit dips to fast and gets worse as weight is added to back of car. My left side never does though I'm on stock springs though.

I also have the Eibach Pro Kit along with 17x11 w/ nitto 315s and without an adjustable panhard bar you can definitely see signs of the rear end walking around back there. Both my rear fenders have been rolled and I spent roughly 2 hours using string taped to the lip with a weight at the end on the floor and that told me with the fender being rolled I have an extra 3/16 to play with on each side so I adjusted the lanyard bar accordingly. When you lower our cars it generally pushes the rear axle to the drivers side.

Re: Right rear tire rubbing, need advice
I adjusted my panhard and it helped but I have a slight rub on the driver side so going to adjust a little more and I orderd new polyurethane bump stops. Hope this works!
