Piecing together front end. Need image of front end build..
Hey guys,
I am being challenged with piecing together a front end of a 95 Z28.
Does anyone have any build images of a front end so I know exactly what sandwiches into each shock tower?
The parts that are already purchased are the upper strut mount, shock (bilstein), eibach springs and the rest of the the parts are missing. .
I have a technical diagram / exploded view of the front suspension but it is tough to tell exactly what is needed and when trying to buy the parts online no one carries most of the washers, spacers, dust covers etc. It is proving to be rather difficult to piece together from pictures and be confident with what is there. .

Hey djk19, I've done the front end several times, so I'll try to help.
Have you access to a Haynes manual or factory service manual yet?
Looks like your close to assembling your front struts, but you need the upper retainers and insulators if your shocks didn't come with these. Still need: 1) lower shock mount bolts; 2) upper control arm with bushings, ball joints, and bolts; 3) lower control arm with bushings, ball joint and bolts; 4) front stabilizer bar with bushing clamp & bolts, bushings, and links.
Do you have the uprights (knuckles) and hubs?

Hey,thanks for the info and help, I actually do have all the other parts. I probably should have worded things like this: What is the order of parts in the strut assembly?
Top nut, biscuit spacer, strut mount, bump stop/boot, strut, spring, spring insulator, spring perch, perch support ring etc. Just can't figure out the exact order and number of items that are pressed together when the strut is assembled. .
I do have the upper control arm, new ball joint, knuckle, hub, new poly sway bar links, tubular lower control arms . .

Form Nalley parts, some part numbers shown. Click on "Fullsize Image"
1995 Chevrolet Camaro SUSPENSION/FRONT
And minor point, no strut in the front. It's a coil-over spring/shock assembly. The 3rd and 5th Gens have true Macpherson strut suspension. 4th Gen is a 4-link unequal A-arm system.
