Oversized ball joint?

Damn near every bit of rubber on my car is worn and needs to be replaced, so I'm going to have most of the front suspension pulled shortly. Since I'm under there, I plan to change ball joints too, since they're not particularly expensive and are likely worn to hell too.

Shopping for parts I noticed "Oversized" options for the lower joint. Would there be any advantage in these? Are they just stronger than the standard ones? Are they worth it in your opinion?

Re: Oversized ball joint?

"oversized" ball joints refer to the outside diameter of the joint where it fits into the A-arm. The ball joint is supposed to fit tight, but if the hole is "stretched" you need an "oversized" ball joint.

It's not a stronger joint.

Re: Oversized ball joint?

Oh okay. I was reading elsewhere that they're supposed to be stronger, which is why I thought that. Glad I asked!

Thanks man!
