Control arm bushings

I have searched and read, and now have a headache anybody with polyurethane front control arm bushings? Install looks sucky, how do you like them, would 1LE be better? Just bought a UMI LT1 K-Member, this unit is awesome, and its time to rebuild the front end. Its not a daily driver, I like in florida so not many potholes.

Re: Control arm bushings

I have had the Energy Suspension poly bushings on upper and lower front control arms for 13 years. Firm and solid, not harsh. I like the revised design ES uses for the vertical bushing on the lower arm to prevent bind.

Let's move this from "engine" tech to "Suspension, Chassis and Brakes".

Do you drive your car a lot on the road and on the street or has it mainly been a weekend warrior?

How many miles have you acually put on theese poly bushings over the 13 years Fred?

I am going to rebuild my front end and am undecided between MOOG and poly.

Re: Control arm bushings

I did the front end at about 50,000 miles, drove is as a daily driver for about 2.5 years after that. Then it became a "track" car. Has about 85,000 miles currently. Hasn't really been out of the garage in the last 3 or 4 years.
