Complete Suspension Rebuild 1998
Hi, I drove my car for a couple of years in a city where the roads where very bad. Now I'm in a better city with nicer roads, so I want to repair all the damage done.
My car has a rear knock that goes in tune to the road bumps and the front end makes noises like a tortured duck.
My inspections shows every bushing front and back (Forgot to look at track arm) are destroyed. On the front end every rubber boot is cracked and there doesn't seem to be any grease in them and must be original since there are no grease nipples.
I recently put new shocks on the back, they were shot and the car was pretty much ridding on just the rear springs.
Part one of this project is the rear end suspension, and I would like some advice on what and where to buy stuff. I want to order parts ASAP.
I believe I need:
New LCA bolts, nuts and washers (From GM)
Non adjustable tubular LCA (from unknown) I did the measurements and no reason for adjustable.
Rear springs and top insulators (From unknown)
Tubular track arm (from unknown)
New bolts for track arm (not sure what, but will get from GM)
Sway bar end links (Want better than the cheap ones)
Transmission Mount. (Replaced last year with one from a Chevy astro van, transmission shop at the time just matched old one up with what he had on shelf).
Any thought or clues on where I should buy?
Thanks
Chris

What shocks did you put on the rear ?
What kind of budget for parts, not much or unlimited ?
What kind of 'ride' wanted as a final result, comfortable factory equivalent or good handler ?

Re: Complete Suspension Rebuild 1998
I put Monroe sensitrac rear shocks in. My budget is limited, I'd like to keep the rear end part at under $500 and the front under $1200. I want the car to be quiet and comfortable.
