Car won't shift into gear while running
Hey everybody I have a 95 camaro z28 6 speed and I just started having some issues the other day. So the car has been driven for a while and the transmission has been fine, no slipping, harsh jerks or anything that i know of (I had just bought the car off Craigslist about a month ago). So I park the car for a day and after pressure washing the underneath, the next day I go to drive it and reverse grinds as usual, but this time it wasn't even going into gear. First wasn't going in or any gear for that matter. The clutch felt fine so I turned it off and the shifter shifted around fine but then I turned it on and it was still refusing to let me put it in gear. I checked the slave cylinder and bled it and still no luck but then the clutch gave no resistance so I went out and bought a master cylinder. I installed it and bled the slave again and again, no luck. I talked to a trandmission expert and he said its odd for a clutch to go out like that, no slipping or anything and I don't want to have them take it apart if it's a simple fix. So coming from a guy who's completely clueless, I would greatly appreciate ANY information or experiences! Thanks! -Mike

How did you bleed the slave cylinder?
When you replaced the master cylinder, did you bench bleed it before installing it?
And..... let's move this to the "Suspension, Chassis and Brakes" forum.
