Brake Shake, Not Warped Roters

I put the Z06 brakes on my wife's 1997 SS. After about a year the car now shakes like the roters are warped but the car has never been driven hard enough to warp them. Can the Anti Lock cause this?

Re: Brake Shake, Not Warped Roters

Warped brake rotors are a myth. What really happens is pad material gets deposited on the rotor surface and builds up over time. You don't have to drive hard for this to happen.

There are lots of other things that can cause vibrations. Does it only happen when braking? Does braking harder make it better or worse? If you brake with your hands off the steering wheel, does the wheel turn side to side with the vibration, or does it stay still?

If it's the anti-lock system, the LOW TRAC light should be coming on when it happens (I would be surprised if this were the case).
