69 SS396 front end way too low - tire suggestions?

Just picked up a 1969 SS 396 but I'm having trouble with the tires rubbing the inside wheel wells - 15 x 7 with 225's on the front - anybody else running a different tire size? Thinking about buying repro SS wheels to replace the rally wheels but they are only 14's. and maybe that would solve the problem. Car has tubular front suspension but I cant tell what brand, maybe this could be the cause of the rubbing as well??

any advice would be appreciated...thanks!
