hey guys try and figure this one out. heres a quick history of the car. my good friend bought it in 2002 i believe and it had a blown motor. we used to drink in the car to hide from his mother and one day we lost the keys and his dad put a new ignition in it. it sat for a long *** time untill a year ago we put a motor in it. it runs and drives strong......... but!

problems:
1. rpm and mph jump around. (it said we did 120 in his garage lol)
2. tail lights stay lit like ur aplying brake
3. blinkers dont work
4. heres the kicker... the abs and defroster fans dont work. unless you hit the blinker to turn left lol.

i bought the car from him for dirt cheap and im sure the the problem is the new ignition switch but im not 100% sure.

Check Grounds!!!
Ground "back feed" will help other circuits that are missing the grounds...
Look at the body grounds near the battery, clean rust, paint etc...
Tighten the bolts, if they are striped out like the self taping bolts always do on the F/B, dill a new smaller hole and grind the paint off.
If you have more than .2vdc at the ground, then it needs to be cleaned, and or tightend...

yea your right it might be grounds. he sprayed the whole engine bay so ur prob right. ill check that while im waiting on the wiring diagram for the steering column. iv herd of things like this happening on other cars form the ignition switch. but ill try everything else befor i tear into that mess lol. thanks

i was messin with it today and the grounds are good. but............ the retard who put the ignition switch in ****in cut a whole bunch of wires and ****. so i got a bunch of wiring diagrams and i feel so lost trying to figure it out lol. idk what to do and i really dont wana get rid of it.
