[Possible Site Bug] Ghost replies/pages

Re: Ghost replies/pages
Not sure what you mean man? I can get to the last page of both those threads. it's the page number i was expecting, and I don't see any empty pages?
I could just be really slow in understanding the issue, can you please help me to understand a bit better?
cheers,
robb

Re: Ghost replies/pages
So what we see as the last page of the Funny pics thread is page 670. It shows there are 3 more pages 671, 672, and 673. If we click on either of those, it'll take is back to 670. Not a big issue as camride said, just pointing it out as something iffy.

Re: Ghost replies/pages
Same as above, those threads show more pages than there actually are. I took that SS a few minutes ago and the Random Thought Thread is now on page 470 (40 posts per page) but it shows a page 471. I've also noticed that if you click on a quote link it will take you to the wrong page as well.

Re: Ghost replies/pages
I logged out, closed all CZ28 pages, closed my browser, re-opened, went to the main page, logged in and I'm still getting the ghost pages. That and it took a solid 50 seconds (didn't have debug open, just watching the clock) to open the Lounge.

Re: Ghost replies/pages
thanks. I don't know what's going on. Why I can't see them, and you have them. I would rather solve the speed issues first though. Let me see if I can get some updates on that front for you guys. Can you shoot me a fresh traceroute by chance please?

Re: Ghost replies/pages
I can't traceroute from work, but here is a great site for running traceroutes from various locations across the US: traceroute.org Some of the links don't work but quite a few let you run traceroutes from their organization.

Re: Ghost replies/pages
Robb,
Can you find out if anything happened with the board last night? I noticed at 10pm last night that they were gone from the Random Thought Thread, but around 8am they were showing back up. Just thought I'd see if it coincided with something you guys were doing on the back-end.

Re: Ghost replies/pages
Interesting. I have not heard this concern on other communities, so it seems somewhat odd to me altogether. Especially after having done a full thread rebuild.

Re: Ghost replies/pages
As a software developer, I think it's clear that the logic which enumerates the page numbers on a thread is not excluding soft-deleted posts.
