show me your amp racks/setups in the spare tire compartment

I have a Profile California Series 600MSX Amp. It's pretty big. about 18in long by 12in wide. Anyone have pics of something similar mounted in the spare tire area, with the spare still in there? The rear deck is not an option for mounting, neither is the rear wall or bottom of t-top rack. Thanks guys

I already have a small fan for it. C'mon, I can't be the only one who has decided to do this.

I did it, just didn't take any pics. Cut out a board to fit in the wheel and mounted the amp to that.

I got my amp to fit back there. I mounted it on a board that was taller than the amp, then stuck the board between the wheel well and the spare tire to kind of lock it in place. Pretty ghetto, but it works if you're just going to stash it away and never show it to anyone. But i don't know if you could really pull that off with an 18" amp.

I've got a couple ideas in the works for when the weather warms up, but for now that's all I can recommend.

I think a dude named Band Director 98 did it pretty good. Made a perfect board that fits into the spare tire and all that.

Here I am!

For pics as well as installation instructions on mounting an amp in the spare and/or behind the spare, take a look at the link in my sig. However, 12"x18" is going to be too big to actually fit down inside the spare.

I don't want to mount it inside the spare tire, i want to mount it next to the tire. Hope that clears it up. Can you still offer any advice Band Director?

Before I figured out a way to mount my Orion CS 150.2 BEHIND the spare, I tried mounting it beside the spare. I could make it fit, but the trim panel wouldn't line up correctly, and I had to remove the 4" speaker in the back hatch. I never was happy with it, so that's when I figured out how to mount it behind the spare.
