He's back!!!

Transformers: Dark of the Moon opens in theaters across the country this week, which means Bumblebee and the rest of the Autobots are back to take on the Decepticons, and again save the world.

Chevrolet is celebrating the return with a special edition Camaro that permits fans to showcase their love of Transformers and Bumblebee in a very unique package -- introducing the 2012 Camaro Coupe Transformers Special Edition.

The 2012 Camaro Coupe Transformers Special Edition is an option package (RPO: CTH) available only on 2LT (1EH37) and 2SS (1ET37) models. The option includes the RS Appearance Package (RPO: WRS) and requires the Rally Yellow exterior color (RPO: GCO) and Black leather-appointed seating surface interior (RPO: AOE).

The package includes the following unique exterior content:

• Special black Transformers decal stripes that travel on each side of the hood bulge, roof, decklid and spoiler similar to the stripes on the movie car
• Special upper horizontal stripe on the front fascia beneath the headlamps
• 20" black painted wheels with summer-only performance tires
• High wing spoiler with black stanchions and rally yellow horizontal spoiler
• Wheel center caps featuring Autobot shield
• Autobot shields located on each side of the body under the Camaro nameplate
• Special Transformersdoor sill plates
• Side gill decal stripes

The package also includes the following unique interior elements:

• Yellow stitching on seats, door armrests, center console lid, soft instrument panel insert, steering wheel and shift ****.
• Black embroidered Autobot shield on center console lid
• Carbon Flash Metallic instrument panel and door trim inserts
• Embroidered Autobot shield on front headrests

All the contents of this package are backed by the General Motors' New Vehicle Limited Warranty, and will be installed prior to the unit arriving at the dealership. The Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for the package is $3000 (including the price of the RS Appearance Package), plus the price of the model, other options including the Rally Yellow exterior color, tax, titles and other fees.

This package was designed to bring elements from the Camaro in the movie to our production model. However, if a customer wishes to have their Camaro resemble even more closely the Camaro from the movie, Chevrolet will offer two additional dealer installed accessories that complement but are not included in this package. The two available accessories are

• Black Ground Effects (LPO: 5W8)
• 21" Black Wheels (LPO: VZN)

These dealer-installed accessories can either be ordered using the LPO codes mentioned above, or from your local ADI. Please consult your local ADI for pricing information.

Dealers can start submitting orders for this package on Monday, June 27, 2011, using the "Quick Order" function in Order Workbench. The package will appear in Order Workbench's standard vehicle configurator on Thursday, June 30, 2011.

Although dealers will be able to submit orders as early as Monday, June 27, 2011, the option package code (CTH) will be on full constraint for a few weeks as final preparations for production are completed. Production is scheduled to start by the end of August, with the first units arriving in dealerships in September. Dealers will have to use their existing weekly Camaro allocation to place an order for production.

Chevrolet will offer this package for a limited time only. Chevrolet will announce an ordering and production end date by the end of this calendar year.
