Paging kevin97z28 or anyone else thats familiar with F.A.S.T

The shop putting the car together has run into a few problems with the F.A.S.T. He needs to know how it gets hooked up to the A/C and the Speedo. I guess he says there isnt a place to hook it up or he doesnt know how. It's being run as a stand alone unit. Any help would be appreciated. Kevin he said he called and left a few voice messages. His name is Mike from Xtreme Motorsports.

You will need a splice in harness so the stock computer can use the speedo and control the AC and stuff. You can get one from www.fasttrackperformance.com. Thats where i got mine from.

So it has to be piggy backed with the stock computer to work? Do you only used the stock puter for Speedo and AC or are there other things too?

Also do you have a P/N for the part I need or could I just have them make something to wire it up if its not that big of a pain.

Fuel Pump, everything on the Dash, Air Conditioning. If you don't care about those things there is a stand alone harness too. I am not sure if you leave the stock computer wiring still intact, and just hanging with that harness it would still work, but look like hell. Call Fast Track they will answer all your questions and hook you up with the right harness.

I contacted FastTrackPerformance and was told I need about another 500$ in parts??? Does this sound right? i dont see how, as I already have the complete F.A.S.T setup it sounds like I just need a connector with some wires or something pretty basic. Any info would help.

Sorry for such a long response time.

Z-OwNEr, Unfortunatly the FAST ECU only controls the engine functions. It does not control Speedo, A/C, any interior functions or tranny.
To retain these functions you will need the adapter harness that will allow the stock ECU to maintain control of the tranny, interior, speedo, etc.

I am not sure what all Fast Track was trying to sell, but all you need is the LT1 "adapter" harness. Sorry i do not have a part# for that.

Yes i did get a voice message from Mike at Xtreme Motorsports. He should have recieved a call from Mike Taylor from FAST tech dept. to answer some of the questions......I am assuming Mike@ Xtreme never recieved the call??

Let me know if Mike never recieved the tech call, I will call him tomm if thats the case. I was under the impression this matter was resolved.

Z-OwNEr I am sorry the project is not going well for you.

It sadens me to hear customers that have had bad experiences with the FAST product. But in all fairness to the FAST system the "adapter" harness is not a FAST product. It is simply a third party product that was developed to work with the FAST system.

Unfortunatly i havent had any "hands on" interface with this adapter, But i can try to find out more info about the adapter, price, what all goes with it, etc.

I can post my findings for you....
Again, I am sorry your having so much problems with this issue.

Nahhhh lol nothing to do with FAST man. Im just saying the project as a hole. Never would have been a project if the heads werent junk to start with and ruin the old engine. Think Im just overly frustrated about this last piece because its the last thing I need to get the car back on the road after more than a year and a half being a jackstand queen. I just wanted to make sure I was getting the wrong part from them is all because the first time I called he said I would need two different things. I have went through this way to many times already on this one little buildup that i didnt want it to happen again right at the end.
