SS hood scoop grill
SS hood scoop grill
I want a silver one, anyone know if they even make a silver one, and where I can get one cheap. Ive looked around and theyre like $60. There is no way Im paying 60 bucks for a little tiny grill. Also what do you think? Would it look good? My color scheme is silver on black. Silver Z28 emblems, Silver rear Camaro Inserts, etc.
With that being said, would I be crazy if I painted my brake calipers silver, I plan on getting chrome wheels and I cant imagine what it would look like. Opinions?

Take the dang thing off and paint it silver with engine paint. I painted my "vents" on my hood almost 2 years ago and they still look great.
"Ahh, you got the aluminum inserts." "Nope, it's about $.10 worth of engine paint."

I just finished doing a search on the EXACT same thing and came up empty. I did find a couple for the 98+ series SS hood but SLP was the only one I could find for the 97/97 series. It looks like Im going to be painting mine too.
I was interested in taking mine off and repainting it, how the heck to I get it off? It's a Suncoast Creations SS hood. I also get rid of the restrictor that drops down and only leaves a 1" opening for the air to get in, any ideas on how to do this, or even if it's a good idea or not?
I bought a replacement grille for my car directly from SLP a few months ago, and it was only $18 plus shipping. It should fit ok even if you have an aftermarket hood, because I think the opening is the same.
