It takes a village to build a car.
OK the final date has been set for the "Great Black TA Build Up"
Saturday Feb 8th and Sunday Feb 9th.
What you get. Well.... Beer, lunch and dinner both days as well my eternal gratitude and a favour owed. Dinner will be steaks and fixings as prepared by Mike (thanks buddy). Also comraderie and possibly the opportunity to learn a little and in some cases gain a little confidance.
What has to be done?
Gas tank install and harness wired in
rear end and rear suspension
motor
tranny
exhaust
headers
blower
front end suspension and brakes
hood.
Anyone who wants, can stay overnight (I have pillows and beds and we can watch some DVD's. Matrix possibly but I have a bunch of other ones.
What you need to bring? I have a fairly good shop BUT would need a couple or three creepers and probably bring your own socket wrench if you have it.
Anyone is welcome, be it for the weekend or for an hour or two. It seems impossible to even dream the dream, but maybe even get the car running on Sunday. I think everything will be available to be able to start it. The tuning guys might want to take a look at the FAST computer and develop the first program.
There is no obligation to "work" when you are here but there is lots to be done.
Let me know if you can come so Mike and I can arrange enough food and bevvies.
Address is 6131 - 169 A Street Surrey. home number 576-8771. Easy to find.

Hey, what do you know!!! You live up the street from me!!!! I'm @32nd and 168st. As far as I know, I'm free that weekend for a little bit anyways, so I will spare as much time as possible. I got a creeper, kinda beat up but it works, and I got some socket sets as well. Call me if you need anything else. Jacks, jackstands, etc. 604-808-5327. Call me or PM me and let me know what time.
Later
Sandeep

I can probably make the 9th. I also have a pretty good selection of tools so if you need something let me know via a PM or email.
[edit] oh ya, I also have a beat up old truck (not keeping it long though) so if you need me to move some heavy or slimy parts let me know.

I'd love to stop by on Saturday for a bunch of hours as well... Not that I can offer much in the way of experience, but I'd be glad to help where i can! And get a good look at the beast

Everyone welcome. If you just want to watch and retrieve tools then thats fine but it would be a great opportunity for those with limited experience - and that includes me - to get to see what is involved in various projects and how long they take to do.
