Car didn't wanna start yesterday after a short trip... Stopped at blockbuster and when I came out, tried to start it up, and it turned over, started, but then died immediately...
I wait a few seconds, and try it again, and sure enough, it starts...
check the handy scanmaster (See payam, 'stock' cars can take advantage of these too
hehe) and sure enough, Opti codes... Thankfully the 16 code must be just a stored code, as I've heard if its a 'real' code, the car will not start, as it will cut all fuel...
I know my opti is going out, but i'm holding on for dear life to the one i have
Praying that it doesn't die in the next few months...
I've gotten both codes on a number of occasions now, 36 much more often then 16, but this is the first time for the code 51...
Its a EProm/PCM type error that my Hanes says to take to the dealership for them to look at
that won't be happening however
I'll try to start the car again today after disconnecting the battery and with any luck the codes will be removed.
Anyone else ever see the Code 51?
