Car club Challange Racing???

OK Well Car club challange is starting to gear up for the season.

What car club challange is? Car clubs & drivers compete against each others to get points. The team with the most points at the end of the season gets a plaque along with their name of the club on a sign posted on the fence as you drive up to Pacfic raceways. The top driver for the season also gets a plaque plus gets other kewl stuff. We also have plaques for the two finalist for each race.

Races cost $25 to race $10 to watch for adults. Plus $10 at Pacific raceways for a perment number & $5 at bremerton (but you use your car club challange number on your windshield when you race)

Right now the main things we ask is that your car is street legal, You have current tabs on your car, & have fun.
For those who have never raced before Dont worry about it come out check it out & there is always someone willing to help you with your racing. If I am not around I am sure those that know Ellis he will help out.

Other rules are if you have ttops or a converable you have to have a Snell 95 or higher rating Helmet on when Racing. If your car is faster then 13.99 you have to have a driveshaft safety loop. Other Rules & Regs are here on this website Below .
http://groups.msn.com/CarClubChallen..._whatsnew.msnw

The two tracks we race at are Pacific Raceways in Kent ( where the NHRA Nationals are held) & Bremerton raceways in Bremerton (its an old airfield so if you go past the Chain link fence you are in a Airport lol)

I know some of the lower Oregon guys might not want to drive all the way up this way to race or the guys from Canada. We do have guys that just come to Bremerton to race that live in Portland & those that just come down to Pacifc raceways that live in canada. This is alot of fun & you guys can Make your own team. They will give you a a letter & sets of Numbers for your team.
PNWCC numbers are C (then a Number) Like mine is C02.

The more racers we have the less likely Team NW Fbody will win (joking you guys)

Pacific raceways we race Normally on Friday nights starting at 4:30 PM the gates open at 4pm We get teched in & doing Test runs. Normally only get 3 in before Elems start at 7pm. Track requires that all cars be on trailers or off the Track at 10:30pm.

Bremerton racewasy we race on saturdays gates open up at 8am. We normally have at lease one run in before noon. ( We are last on their list of races) We normally start Elms right about 3pm & race until 7pm. (we are working to get more runs in)

And Heres the dates.

April 6 Test and Tune - Optional Pacific Raceways (rained out No make up)

April 19 Test and Tune - Optional Bremerton Raceway

May 10 Season Opener - Double Points Bremerton Raceway

May 16 Points Race Pacific Raceways

June 6 Points Race Pacific Raceways

June 14 Points Race Bremerton Raceway

June 20 Early Rain Date – if necessary Pacific Raceways

July 11 Points Race Pacific Raceways

Ok I would like to pint out the both tracks are about the same distance from either north or south.

I would alos like to point out that Bremerton treats us really well and we are NO WHERE near the bottom of the list there! Who the hell came up with that???

I really would like to know? The only people who say that are people who live next door to PR and hate having to put there car on a trailer to get to a GOOD track.

Last year Bremerton did a GREAT! job of getting our races done and taking care of us. the only place we were treated like crapp was PR. IF I am luck I get ONE run a PR. at bremerton I usually get two if not three. and they NEVER rush us.

Hell the ONLY time I only got ONE pass before racing was because it RAINED till 11am!

For people looking for best time runs it is common knowledge the Bremerton will hook much better then PR and best numbers and 60FTs are at Bremerton.

The only reason we are still racing at PR is people refuse to drive some where else. Thus numbers are always higher at PR except by the real racers.

Either track will do but please do not Mis-inform people about one of the tracks we race at to get an odd showing.

Ellis

Any new team is welcomed to join up. We race for Trophies & Bragging rights.

Top teams get Trophies (I think), The #1 team gets a few other things but i am not sure.

Top Driver gets a Trophy & I do beleive a jacket.

Points I think this year is going down as far as 5th place.
Oh also Nightly winners & runner ups get plagues.

There no money for winners.

Actually anyone who wins a round gets points. It's the same points system we used last year, and very similar ot years before:

Quote:
Points will be awarded as follows for round wins only;

1 point for each round win
2 points for each round win in the quarter and semi final
3 points for winning the final
Bonus points for perfect numbers in competition - You must win the round to receive bonus points

1 additional point for perfect .500 light
1 additional point for dead on run XX.XX0 (to the thousandth)
5 additional points for perfect run - .500 light and dead on XX.XX (to the hundredth)
Double points apply
Also, the winner and runner up for each race get a plaque, while the Top Club and Top Driver get year-end trophies.

And there will be cash for the winner of the cash-bash race in the middle of the year. (I'll make you check out the website to find out which night it is...just cause I can ).

Oh yeah, and we have had members from Oregon, Vacouver WA, and as far north as Mount Vernon attend races for Team NW F-body...

Where the real racers are: www.TeamNWRacing.com
Watch out for T32... he's slow, breaks fairly often, but man can he drive! (ok, ok, I'm busted... that's my number)

If anyone's looking to race with a team with experience and full of guys/girls willing to help and teach... just let me know.
