Piston Ring Gap ?

What do you guys set your piston ring end gap?

I am rebuilding my motor and I am running Speed pro (Part # TRW-L2256F) forged pistons with Speed pro rings (this is the set with the plasma-moly coated top ring. (All are standard bore)

I am running about 6 # of boost.

If you run .024 - .026, you'll never have a problem with the gap closing up at high temperatures. I've used that gap before without oil consumption issues.

I set the top to .025" and the 2nd to .020", basically following Speed Pro's recommendations that came with the rings for a supercharged engine. Now lately there is some belief that setting the 2nd ring gap equal with the top ring gap is better. Not sure about that theory. My motor doesn't burn any oil at all with those gaps.

Thanks guys,
I set my rings at 28 bottom and 24 top .. I think this will be a good setting for my heavy foot and my non intercooled pd set up.
