These trucks might do ok but if GM or Ford was to put a ~3.0L Diesel 4 cyl. in a Silverado or F-150 work truck I think that would kill Mahindra sales dead. This truck is extremely ugly, but it has the right price and powertrain. A small diesel would also be great for the CAFE avg.

It makes me want to move to Montana so I will have super low chances of seeing one of those.

Mahindra already has a presence in the rural areas selling farming equipment. They're not going anywhere anytime soon.

Besides isn't the Mahindra a compact truck?

I think it is a 7/8th type size. Bigger than a Colorado but smaller than the Silverado

The ugly might just work for it, while my brother is no indicator for the masses, stuff like this draws him like a moth to fire. Besides, cheap and economical goes a long way toward overcoming ugly (Samurai, Tracker, et al)

I have yet to see one in person, but from the pictures it looks bigger than a Colorado

Mileage is very good so maybe it is smaller.

There are no doubt a great many small abandoned dealerships that Saturn once housed to provide a dealer locations on the cheap.

A decent size, inexpensive truck with good milage. These things will sell like mad if they have halfway decent quality.

What is the milage supposed to be anyway? Didn't see any given.

That's good, at least some are transitioning. The two dealerships in wichita now sit vacant with big for sale signs in the window.

Anyone see these specs?

•Gross Vehicle Weight – 6,945 lbs
•Curb Weight – 4WD – 4,400 lbs, 2WD – 4,180 lbs
•Payload – 4WD -2,545 lbs, 2WD – 2,765 lbs
It's been a while since I looked all of that crap up, but that's about the highest of any truck on the market. A silverado is only 1200-1400 or so lbs for *most* 1500's. Depending on model, you can get up to about 1800 lbs.

Ford F-150 regular cab payload 4x2 = 3030lbs. 4x4 = 2740lbs.

either way Mahindra will be competing with 1500s
