6sp conversion kit

Dose any one if there a kit a hole kit for a new 6sp trany to put in my 84 z28 camaro and where i can but it if not what will i need and the est price will be.... its got a turbo 400 in it now

I know someone who just did the conversion on an automatic car. I think it ran him about $1300, that was for a used tranny.

From what I've gathered from previous posts, it will cost you anywhere from $1200-$2000 total. Just go to a junkyard and find a wrecked 93-97 F-body and pull all of the trans parts from it, including tranny, clutch, pedals, flywheel, everything. The only thing you will for sure have to buy new is a new crossmember. Get one from Spohn for >$150. Also, check out www.thirdgen.org and you can find a T-56 swap guide there. You can also get a new 6 spd from Richmond or Borg Warner. Good luck!

fortes sells a tremec aftermarket t56 brand new that is a bolt in for our cars.

get out your check book though, it will run you about 2k.
