94z vs Neon SRT-4?
Got a friend at work that has a neon srt-4 with basically just cosmetic mods.
He claims to have "walked" a few TA LS1's (2 of which were 30th Aniv.), 1 SS LS1, a WRX STi, a Lightning (SC), and a few hondas. I'm sure most is bs but he is all about his 260hp inline 4, what you think my chances are? Thinking about going to get some soon, just curious what yall think.

Even if he is moderately modded you should still beat him. If he is stock then you will truly hurt his feelings

Just be aware that they can make massive power upgrades while appearing "mostly stock".
I assume he'll want to go from a roll -- they aren't known for their traction without using slicks.

Your car should be at a mid 12. Stock they are low 14 high 13 second cars. Unless he has a bit into that car you should hand him his but pretty well.

I agree on all points. a guy that lives a couple houses down won nopi nationals or something with his srt-4. fully street legal, you would think it cam of the show room floor, but it sounded like a top fuel dragster and ran low 10's

^^^Yeah that^^^^
The NSRT4 will be lucky to pull low 2.0 60 ft's on street tires and it will continue to spin well into 2nd gear and past the 60 ft beams with basic mods on the stock turbo. If it's from a roll I think he might surprise you. My car trapped nearly 109 mph with a D/A of nearly 3500 ft with just basic bolt-ons.

once I get a email back from pcmforless with a new tune (hopefully) I'll tell him it's time to rawk, right now it's running lean at idle, but haven't had a time to log while driving.
