can replace just the speakers?

Can I use the current bose amp and just replace the stock speaker? I know they have a special ohm rating from the head unit to the door amp, but after the amp it should be ok right or wrong?
THanks

I was told by circuit city that on my monsoon system to change the speakers you have to rewire the entire car

Wrong. The "ohm rating" you speak of IS the speakers. Not something that is between the HU and amp.

BOSE uses oddball impedance speakers so you can't just drop in any set of speakers to replace them. You have to replace everything or don't bother and live with the stock BOSE system as it is.

LS1 RULZ is right, the Bose doesn't play well with others. Looks like you have at least $300 worth of stereo upgrades if you want to move beyond the Bose
