Exclamation Vauxhall VXR8 Bathurst S Edition (aka blown G8)

It doesn't say that it is the LSA that the CTS-V uses, but the specs are dang close.

So, to Pontiac, the GXP brand is the top of the line here, right? What might they call a G8 with the LSA?

I like that they could put the blower on it without changing the hood.

Historically:
GTP? SSEi? GTO?

Cribbing from other manufacturers:
GSXR? GXP-R? GXP-S? GXP V-spec? ()

Totally new:
GXR?

I kinda like GTO, but I have a problem with a 4-door GTO.

In general, I have a problem with car names consisting of a series of letters that don't stand for anything. I like the G8, but I hate the name. Tagging more letters on the end makes it worse, not better.

LS3 with a Harrop supercharger bolted on top. This isn't a "factory" engine.

Considering that a fully loaded G8 GXP costs right at $40k and the CTS-V starts at $58k, could an LSA powered G8 Comp-G reach $50k? How much would Cadillac fight that?

What else could they add to the Comp-G to make it more appealing? 20x9" wheels with wider tires, larger (Brembo?) brakes, heads up display, HID headlights, EZ Key, Magnetic Ride Control and a lower suspension? No way that could happen. It would make too much sense. This is GM we are talking about

a 50K G8 in this economy when GM is trying to slim down and make a case for being profitable. And they throw out a nitch halo car?
No it wouldn't make sense for GM at all till times change and the economy is on the upswing..and even then..is Pontiac or the G8 still around?

no, it was a one of prototype just to see how far Holden could take the concept. It has an LS7, and a price tag of about $150,000
