Can anybody give me a rough estimate on insurance?
anybody got any ideas on how high insurance would be when i get my Camaro i'm only 19 but i talked my mom into getting me the car for my 20th birthday which is in August and i told her i'd pay the car note and that her and my dad would go half on the insurance but if the insurance is super high it might jeopardize my chances in getting my camaro and i'm getting the 2Lt/Rs Camaro.

I don't think there is any way for anyone to determine insurance rates right now. And even when the car is out, everyone's rates are different.
What I can say is that there was a huge emphasis on vehicle safety, due in part to help insurance rates stay as low as possible making the car as affordable as possible in that regard.

My '98 SS was VERY reasonable as far as insurance rates go. I had it in insured in good old expensive NY state when I owned it and it was still pretty decent. I was 22 at the time when I first bought it and now no longer own it since about 4 1/2 years ago when I decided to move to NC. I expect the insurance on my '10 SS here in NC to be very reasonable, obviously a lot better than when I had my '98 SS insured in NY and was a few years younger as well.

The pricing isn't going to kill him but I have a feeling your idea of "reasonable" and his may differ. He's still going to have 300HP below his right foot at the ripe old age of 20...
$750-800 every 6 months for what I would get as min coverage for that age-> 100/300k $500 deductibles. Just my guess.
I'm 41, no accidents or violations as long as I can remember, married 13 years, house, 2 kids, 2 cars, etc, etc,
Geico has estimated me (not in their system yet) at $360 every 6 months but that's for 300/500k $200 deductibles, full glass, etc..

well i'm not goin to put the insurance in my name i'm goin to co-sign with my dad or mom but i was at least hoping for a price ranging from 350-450 but you got to keep in mind that i'm going to have to get full coverage since it's a new car off the lot and i also live in Louisiana if that helps.

I called my insurance company on friday with VIN's for an SRT8 Challenger and Mustang GT. I was disappointed to hear that my insurance would be $2400/year for either of them which I assume to be very close to Camaro rates. I'm 25 and my driving record is clear now...I was expecting it to be no more than $2000/year, but maybe I'm spoiled by $600/year liability only on my '96. Hearing that was enough to end my debate of sneaking in a first allocation order. For $600/month for the car and insurance I'll have to do some thinking and actually be able to SIT in the car at least before I order.

yea I totally agree 2400 a year isn't bad at all and hopfully it's less than that since I'm goin under my parents imsurance if it's that cheap I'll pay the insurance n they can pay the note I did the camaro builder and I price mines at like 28k plus a few extras which they couldn't include the price so it may be more but I'll be putting like 10 r 12k on the car.

pay the note???? whats the note?
so your parents are paying for the car? well i would hope you would pay the insurance then.man that would be nice. if your parents are buying the car,its under their name, that actually makes you a secondary driver so the car insurance should be cheaper than what you think. depending on your parents driving record. it would have to be insured under them and you would just be on as a secondary driver. now if you are the primary driver and its just you on the policy its going to be a little more.

I meant note as in car note...I was either going to pay the monthly car note or the insurance depending on which one Is cheaper...I'm just trying to get the cheapest payment so I can do some mods on my car.
