Has anyone seen the ambient lighting?

Just curious as to whether anyone has seen it lit up yet. We've seen several 2LT / 2SS pictures, but not with the lighting running, unless I've missed it somewhere.

Nope...although there have been a few people who have seen it but never got pictures...

There's actually a few people over on Camaro5 who are pretty convinced that something's wrong and ambient lighting is delayed or canceled. I sent Jason/Chris an email, and they said that they haven't heard anything about it. Scott also told me in a PM that they were still perfecting it, so that's what I'm going to go on until I hear otherwise.

In this post there is a link to a Youtube video of it. They show it at about the 5:30 mark.

We were lucky enough to see the ambient lighting at the Philly Auto show.
While I was near one of the cars, Scott (Fbodfather) turned on the headlight to give people a view of the halos. As he turned on the switch I saw the ambient lights come on. Right place at the right time. The lighting at the Convention Center was very bright and refelective so the soft blue lights didn't show up very well, especially on camera. I turned off my flash and took a few shots.
This is the only one that came out, sortof:

Funny how such a simple thing was so cool.

Well, as far as I could tell it went across the top edge of the dash panel and around the door panels.
I looked at the panel on a couple of the cars real close and I can see a thin clear plactic line that the led light shines through.
I also noticed there's a thin clear plastic ring in the center of the steering wheel which looks like that might light up also.

I actually have a question.... does/did the Ambient Lighting you saw have the "animated" effect, where it starts at the center of the dash and "flows" out to the doors?

i dont think it was ever intended to be just the doors. it has always been on the dash also.

There are mixed reports regarding this. Apparently some Camaro reps have stated ABL will be only on the doors. Here's the thread about it.

That picture I took (as bad as it is) was of the side of the dash on the left side of the speedo/rev gauges.
Now, the lighting was on the red 1LT/RS with an X in the VIN number so we really can't be sure it's going to be on a production car.
There was a production car at the Philly show, but it was an LS or 1LT and it didn't have the lighting. The other two cars, a silver 2SS/RS and the LS7 didn't have any lights on to tell.

No it just came on like any other interior light.
