PDIM Wireless....huh?

http://www.chevrolet.com/camaro/pdf/...maro+Order.pdf

Upon checking out the order form, I see "PDIM: wireless" as an option. Which got me thinking....what the hell is that?

My guess is this is something MP3 player related.

Wireless PDIM - For use of steering-wheel controls with an auxiliary device. Could be your MP3 player, a phone, something else.

Oh I forgot to mention, it stands for "Preferred Device Interface Module". There's a white paper on it here: http://www.mediadevice.org/2007/mdl_ar_2007.pdf

So do we know which devices will work with the PDIM?
I'm sure an ipod will work with it, but what about other brand name mp3 players?
And I have a Palm Pilot T/X. Will that work with it?
What about other PDAs?

Yeah, PDIM lets you use the steering wheel controls. I read about it somewhere.
Thanks for the additional information guys!
