Quick question
Was just wondering if when I get my base V6 Camaro next year, with this 300hp engine will I be able to straight up beat the Mustang V6?
I know it sounds stupid and I apologize, I just don't know too much about cars at this point. I am learning and I know I love the Chevy Camaro a whole lot.

The Camaro V6 will have no problem outperforming the Mustang V6.

Everything we've seen so far says that the 2010 Camaro V6 will easily put the current V6 Mustang to shame. It will most likely run right about the same as an LT1 Z28 (more power and better gearing, but less torque and more weight -- I figure it's a wash).
There's a new Mustang due for the 2011 model year. I'm expecting Ford to step up to the plate big time. There are rumors of big power increases, available twin-turbo V6 powertrain, and massive weight reductions. I don't know what's truth and what's fiction, but it's a safe bet that Ford has the new Camaro squarely in their sights for the next Mustang.

Yeah Ford is going to step it up with Mustang's next re-design. From what I have heard the base should be around 240-245 hp, then a turbo V6 with like 340, and then the GT should get around 380 but of course that is just speculation, and I almost expect those figures to go up.
