Poll about potential new CamaroZ28.Com die-cast release...
I'd like to bounce something off you folks who have been following and/or acquiring the CamaroZ28.Com die-cast car projects.
A quick recap...
The 1st release has been sold out for quite a while, Series II is nearly sold out (I have 1 left in my store as of right now) and Series III is going to be released later this season (more info forthcoming later this week on Series III). Going forward, Series IV and Series V are planned for next year.
What I am kicking around...
In addition to the series outlined above (but not intended to be part of that series), I'd like to offer up a poll to gauge some interest on an extra special CamaroZ28.Com die-cast project I have been thinking about.
It is probably pretty easy to tell that I am anticipating the 2010 Camaro which is just around the corner, expected start of production date (of the real car) is February 16 in case you missed it. Because this is very important date to many car and Camaro enthusiasts here, I was considering making a very special edition die-cast release to celebrate and coincide with what happens on that day.
Without meaning to give too much away at this point since it is only an idea right now, here's some basics of the idea:
- 2010 Camaro casting (sorry to those burned out on that one - it's my thing.
)
- Approximately 2,000 made
- Less than 5% would be Green Machines
- Very special finish on the car's surface
- Every car would come with a certificate of authenticity, both regular and Green Machines.
- Special packaging - Not a blister pack but very similar to the GreenLight club cars presentation box. Something very much like this...

I know this doesn't say much as far as details, but trust me when I say that this will be designed and produced according to what is to be expected from a "commemorative edition" type of die-cast collectible. If you like the previous CamaroZ28.Com die-cast cars, this would be an excellent centerpiece to the collection.
Because the special nature of the finish, the packaging, etc., the overall cost would be higher. While I don't have exact figures, I would expect no more than $14.99 plus shipping.
Your opinion is important to me. Please vote in the poll and constructive comments are always welcome, here and privately.

I've bought into each series so far. The series III will be in my collection, and so would this potential release.

I would love the idea of getting one with the same color of my REAL Camaro ( Aqua Blue Metallic )..... Jason, if you could arrange this, I would gladly pay way ahead of time !!!

Same here. I think it would also be cool if it was possible to get them signed like that very first car.
