Jason, Chris, and the other disciples have really been neutered *or spayed - don't want to be sexist here* due to the excursion to the proving grounds....
Its a shame because it seems the boards have lost some of the most informed and educated speculators/commenters on these subjects; however, I'm sure that none of you would have passed up the opportunity just for a few posts! I definitely wouldn't

Nothing has been confirmed as of yet. But it's speculated to be the Ls3 since the Ls2 is going out of production at the end of 2008.

Well, we KNOW we're getting a V6, and probably a couple V8's .
We pretty much have confirmation that the V6 will be the ~300 HP 3.6L D.I. motor .
It's "highly probable" that the base V8 will be the 6.2L LS3 out of the Corvette (although maybe detuned slightly, so the Camaro doesn't step on the Corvette's toes ).
And all signs point toward "BIG HP S/C 6.2L" for the "top dog" Z28 . I wouldn't expect ~640 HP like the ZR1, but enough to lay the smack-down on the GT500 .
How's that for un-official speculation?

Sounds like a great line up to me... It has been stated that there will be press events this summer so.. I am hoping that someone breaks the embargo(s) early! Maybe even next month's magazines?! I am curious to see if/how RS will be in the lineup.
