Planning a track day May 31st @ Numidia
Planning a track day May 31st @ Numidia
Planning a gathering at Numidia Dragway Saturday May 31st. Central PA. Track is just outside of Bloomsburg. This is a basic T~n~T day, but we'll have our own lanes. Standard Price $35 to race and $7 for spectators. So even if you don't want to race it will be a good day to just meet and greet people from the boards.
We can run some type of elimination race or throw a few bucks into a gamblers race if there is interest? Also if anyone has never raced we can help, 97TransAm and I (and maybe Kazman - who I need to grudge race!) are going to offer our services helping with dial-ins and running the top end.

T~n~T gates open 9am, TNT starts 10am and normally ends around 4ish, so if there is interest we can head over to Knobels after the track and hit the coasters and such.

If there is interested I’ll talk to the track owner about planning more of these. Maybe something more formal in the fall with possible payouts and even a car show?
Please post up if you’re planning to attend.

John, can you do better than the .259 package I ran Sunday? Or the week before me going -.011 against an old gold nova. Didn't get his last name but he said he runs a little at Numedia. A Tom somebody
Must of been a newbie 'cause we both ran it out and were both about .150 seconds fast. Ah the bracket games on the top end for sure if I didn't go red. Sure you want me giving help????????????????? I will most likely skip the second session at the grove and should be able to help out. Hope you don't make fun of my slow rustang.

No one is going to fault you for pushing the tree against the Golden Retriever!
Tom's been a bit off this year. I noticed he picked it up a bit from last year. He's dialing down about .20 from last year, normally in the 14.6_ range, said it's the new spark plugs.
Last year I think he ran 95% of his passes in the low 14.8s. I still remember last year when we had the money races, and he entered both foot and electronics weekend races (with no electronics) and he went 21 of 24 rounds! Man were the guys in the dragsters unhappy loosing to him for 4 rounds!
But he's been killer on the tree and running thru the Friday night and Sunday crouds! But this year he has broking out a few times. Like it matters!
Add this to his list of odd things he does: He was in the street final Sunday against Watkins. She didn't get in quick enough and fouled out. And of Course, Tom can't win that way, he backed out and said to reset the tree. He then he waited for her to turn on her second bulb before he went all the way in. He treed here with a .00x but ended up running under by 2 thou and give her the win! Tom just laughted and said it was better loose a fair race then to win a giveme! (I think they split the money any how and I'd never bet against him being the points winner).
Run the Mustang, Nah, dust off the Bird and bring it up!
.259? Ops! adjusting the radio, or watching a 17 second car cruise down the lane. Did that once, was so involved in watching a 4 banger beretta get a 7 second lead I forgot to watch my side of the tree!
Deep staged the stang and slid in another BIG bump. (Changing the brake pads this week). Knew if I hit my spot I would be .040 or so red. Mentally tried to back off the light (bad thing to do) and cut a .189 (better than red). Extra deep inceased my 60' by 5 and et by 7. ugh. I was dialed 13.77 against a 13.29. He was .081 on the tree and I chased him down the entire track right from the gate. Gee I'm the slower car and he in front of me already.

Had the car set for an .020 (Tom was .022) Car slid in deeper again. Pattern?

Tom can dial that car on 7 numbers. 14.64321 on be dead on.

Rails love sitting for 7-8 seconds and can't judge on the top end. Maple the Super cut is 11.99.

I've seen him do that a couple of time breaks out by .01 or so.

We were talking about swithching cars for the elimination round. I should of taken him up on the offer.

Stop peddling your parts on John. He has a D1 to buy before he buys that rear housing

BTW, there's a lot of folks in the parts wanted forum looking for parts that you have...LE heads and big stall converter.
Later,
Steve.

Formula is an even better bracket car able to run 12.00 @ 114-118mph anytime of the season.

I just want to do John-Force-burnouts. The bracket racing winning is a formality that allows to keep doing them...
Yep. It'll be cool to help anyone out on the staging and dial-ins. A lot of people helped me since May 31st 2001. It will be nice to return the favors....

And I heard John wanted a piece of your Formula too!
Lets get rid of that 10 bolt before it breaks!
