I actually kind of doubt it but its a nice idea.
what is more likley, but still nowhere near certain is the LSA. what is sure is it wont get an LS2. will most likley get LS3, and other smaller engines.

It will most likely get some sort of performance small block V8 which I bet will be a lot like an LS3 and displace 6.2L, and it will have one smaller engine which will be a DOHC 3.6L V6 w/ VVT and probably AFM and / or DI. LSA is possible for the top motor in a limited edition, LS9 seems like it will be ZR1 exclusive.

The camaro has had a long history of being one of the most modified cars. I dont see this trend changing. Lots of people will add power to their Camaros, just look at the massive tuning industry already setup for this line of engines.
I will bet good money somebody will stuff a LS9 into a camaro withing the first few months of production (the engine is sure to be available from GMPP as a crate motor like the LS7) Maby a dealer option?? they may well produce drag race specials as well.
I for one am planning to modify my Camaro from day 1. I am one of the first on the list here in South Africa, but its reported I will have to wait till close to the end of 2009 to get my car. I may have an LS9 in the garage waiting for it

Im sure someone will jamb a LS9 between the fenders, but the LS9 is just way to expensive to put in a Camaro.

Not likely since the only thing left of Yenko is a Honda dealership. Don Yenko was killed in a plane crash several years ago, some of the "old time" Camaro specialist builders are still around, notably Baldwin/Motion Performance. There will be others who will do Camaro mods.

Motion Performance is who I was thinking of, I'm sure they'll have fun with the new Camaro.

Latest info indicates there WILL be a supercharger option from the getgo, and the Mustang GT500 has been used as a 'benchmark' My bet therefore is the LSA.

Actually, having just read up on the LSA, i think the Camaro will get its own engine, which will be a cross between the LSA and LS9, taking the smaller blower, and cheaper components from the LSA, but in a more compact package more like the LS9. Power is likely to be around 550HP.

Replace the 9 with a 8 and your in business .... its a supercharged 6.2 but nowhere near as "exotic" as the LS9 . The blower is smaller( 1.9ltr if I remember right ) , the block is a production line assembled , the head castings are standard LS3 ...you get the drift .
