question for installing vacuum canister for brakes

Hi, I bought a summit can to help some with my brakes since my cam is kinda big.
The fittings are all smaller then the stock vacuum fittings.

My question:
Does the one way valve on the brake booster need to stay? Or can I just use the one on the can? THis will make it easier to get the correct fittings on

Did the same. Mounted the SSBC vac pump in rear pan area since no up_front room due to D1 prcharger. Long line, (used 1/2" alum) but, works OK. Lost vac assist (3" Hg @ idle) due to FI positive intake manifold pressure. The other solution was to go hydraulic w/ use of the PS pump. More expensive, and, more install work. SSBC says you need 16" Hg minimum vac assist for satisfactory brake force. B.
