Uses the same steering wheel as the Sky. Interesting that it shows a pillar mounted boost gauge where as the boost gauge is on the DIC in the Sky & Solstice.

Wonder what kind of fuel economy it'll get.

I also wonder if it might possibly be a flex fuel vehicle that could take E85? That would be awesome.

I'm wondering what exactly that is, too. I'm sure it's some sort of consolation for the fact that you lose all your boost pressure when you lift to shift into the next gear.

Zero lift shifting means that you keep it floored between shifts as when you push the clutch out the ECU drops the rev limiter/timing slightly in an attempt to keep the revs from going out of control and bouncing off the real rev limiter.

You can use it to help as a "launch control" as well. Kinda cool stuff.

FWIW the HHR SS is rated 29mpg highway - though Chevy's site still doesnt have information on the optional Posi or the rumored Brembo brake package... I assume the Cobalt SS with the DI turbo will get better mpg than the supercharged by a good margin.

Probably drive-by-wire so it lifts for you.

There was a fair amount of discussion about zero lift shift when it was announced for the HHR SS.

It will be a sellectable function as part of the traction/stability controll. The system will allow the driver to keep WOT and the computer will regulate the throttle and fuel durring shifts to put the engine rpm at the best level for the next gear to keep boost from falling.

I'm a little dissappointed if that is the case... That's as much as the HHR SS... Unless there's a lot more content in the Cobalt SS, I don't see why it shouldn't be at least a couple thousand less than the HHR SS...
