Interior Poll Time...
In the spirit of the election year, lets have a straight up poll. No posts about what you think, there are enough of those, just Yes-Maybe-No. It is not a public poll, so lets just see the numbers.

I like it from the gauge pods back.
Unfortunately, I wont see any of it when I'm driving.
I voted no because of the center uni-boob bulge with two nipples and the gigantic vents on the dash.

The interior design looks great especially the way the parking brake and cupholders were incorporated with the armrest.. It will be nice not to reach infront of the shifter for my caffiene fix which is a pain in the butt with my current import (I not proud of this fact, but it requires $0 car payment as I put away for its replacement). The stupid design of my import makes one of the cupholders or 1rst gear useless. Any chance we can get that armrest to extend forward when the cupholders aren't inuse?
Other Positives:
Design of the steering wheel.
Overhead storage console (based on previous pics).
Thoughtful placement of fuel & temp within the tach & speedometer.
Simple and USEABLE ac vents!
Also, those wheels could really look GOOD! Have we seen anything like them in the other spy shots?

Exactly.. It came a long way since the Concept.. I just can't wait to drive it and see if my elbow still fits in the same spot on the top of the door panel... Left hand on the wheel and the elbow on the top of the door panel.. My 4th Gen has almost a rut there now from that.. Keeps me from slipping off...
Me likey!

VOTED YES HERE!!!
I have a question for all the "gauge haters" out there.
Have any of you ever sit in a car that had these style gauges in this location?
Personally, this was the first change that I made to my 68. And as you may or may not see in the pic, they are actually under the radio area. The end of the console goes pretty far past where you would think it should, but they are totally visible with a quick glance. It's all about seat and driver placement. Don't knock it til you sit in it. I remember from drivers ed being taught to briefly glance to all three of your mirrors to check what was going on around you while driving. Now, one of these is up, and the other two are to each side, OUTSIDE the vehicle. Jason had a good point in his post in a different thread about changing the radio stations, etc. For Gods sake, we have people texting on their damn cell phones while driving, but we can't glance at gauges in the console without running off the road........PLEASE!!! These gauges are one of the things I truly expected to lose, but am extremely happy to see that they made it this far and will be in the production car I order...........sorry to rant, but I had to get it out.
Thanks.........now back to the thread............

Voted yes. But I reserve the right to continue thinking yes.
It all becomes a matter of perception. And around here(enthusiast boards)- opinions of what you want in a sports car, or more specifically a Camaro, becomes very divided. It's sad - but kinda good, too. If everybody liked it - there'd be nobody trying to think of a better way to do something.
So with the facts in mind that, unfortunately, this car was not designed and built FOR us (enthusiasts), and it will not please ALL of us (enthusiasts) - those that don't like an aspect can try and improve it for the betterment of the masses.
Oh - to cut through the fat, and repeat myself, I said 'yes'.
