Scott, can you do us a favor?

Can you pull whatever strings possible to get the production interior pictures out?

That way whenever these "spy" pictures get posted, they can be put to rest as quickly as they appeared....

Just a thought....

I doubt this will be possible.. They're probably not even done with it yet.

I'll just wait till I get to drive it home to stare at the gauges!

well -- we did put out a couple of pictures of the pre-production exterior -- just to calm people down.......but even when I said that the headlights were not the final product -- there was still controversy over them.....and even when I said "they aren't duals" -- some people read right over the remarks and kept going................

You are assuming that production pictures exist....and they don't -- and it's because we're not done yet! If we had production pictures, we'd actually have 'production' cars -- and we'd be shipping them to dealers sooner...........

I think it is safe to say that unauthorized pictures are damaging to the brand.........and THIS is why we take them so seriously.

I have a comment: You're going to be more than satisfied with your powertrain options.

I *do* agree with you, it's just confusing when taking spy photos has recently been encouraged by GM, unless I misunderstood their message.

This is a very important point gang. This means that the interior isn't yet finished and there is some tweaking to be done.

Pictures taken outside when the car is off GM grounds in public view. These were taken inside, and that really rubs him.... because it's an employee or contractor.

As much as I hate to say it - due to some remarks by 'people'...I think somebody () should seriously consider asking Lutz to order these cars in big black bags during shipping...these photos are obviously causing ridiculous conversations (from both sides)........((It's dissapointing that there are even "sides"))

I can understand that. Although if it weren't for Scott intimating that these came from the Canada plant how would we know?

Very good points. I had initially thought the interior pictures were "old" but if what ChrisL is saying is true, then the pics could be current.

Scott, I've said this before, and I really think GM needs to start taking this seriously - you need to change your way of on road R&D if you want to keep spy pics out of public view, and GM DEFINITELY needs to change their in house rules on cell phone cameras.

All locations with future product not yet ready for production should have someone checking for cell phone cameras. Anyone who wants/needs to enter sensitive areas must produce their cell phone. If it has a camera, check it at the desk. If not, they are free to pass with phone in hand. If they refuse to produce a cell phone, do not let them enter untill they either do show a phone or permit a search in pockets, purses, and under suit coats and jackets. If they still refuse, sorry, no admittance.

NO ONE should be permitted on any GM premises with a real camera. If caught anywhere they should be immediately dismissed on the spot.

Non-employees should be subject to search.

I'm not kidding. I know this stuff is not good for the image to see gauge housings taped to the dash with electrical tape and wires hanging all over the place and cardboard floormats and seats out of a used car. It doesn't bother me perse, but it does bother me that people are basing their opinions on such nonsense. If I were you, or any one of the other engineers working on the car, not only would I be absolutely livid, but I'd be a little hurt. Puting myself into their position, this is not just their job or something they're doing for fun, it's their personal creation. Their life's work. This is being born from the minds of people with far more knowledge of calculus, physics, and drafting and art design than I could ever possibly possess. And I'm sure there's lots of sweat involved carving models, hand building cars (anyone ever actually hold a door and try to keep it lined up while someone else bolted the hinges?), and climbing up, down, and all around it trying to find a rattle, some reading that's off, or some bad part in the fuel tank. They are puting their heart into it and for people to basically tell them it's garbage when it isn't even done yet is quite unfair.

Angry

This is getting old already. What has Scott said more than once about the
interior? We are not finished yet with the interior. If you want to judge the interior without waiting to see the final finished prouduct, then quit complaining and go out and buy your new Vette or Mustang.
