Unknown. However, if it isn't, it will surely be a dealer option or at the very least, an aftermarket option.

Agreed, given that both concept cars have stripes -- and they look so damn good with them, too -- Chevy would be missing a major option opportunity by not offering them.

I hope so.

I'd also hope they'd be painted, but that's probably just wishful thinking on my part.

I agree, it would be a nice factory option.

Painted? I dunno about that one...it wouldn't be cheap to them or the buyer.

If they have stripes, I think you'll have a choice of getting them or not getting them.

I've always been a "decal delete" kind of guy myself though.

It seems to me that for a few hundred extra dollars, you could make your own stripes then have them painted on within a matter of a few days of delivery of your car. There's a customs body shop in Grand Rapids, MI that I am sure would be more than happy to do it.

Mine are painted on and it was under $200. Makes all the difference. Plain white is just that.

My C6 booklet from the dealer included a list of GM accessories, one of them being stripes- I think a GM stripe kit for the Camaro would be cool!

Just an experiment... Go down to your Chevy dealership and ask about the price for parts of replacement 'stripes' on a 1997 30th anniversary Camaro... Cheaper to have them painted or vinyled at a shop.

If we paid the same price on all the parts of a new car that the parts counter charges for them individually, a car would cost a quarter million bucks. Fender screw... $3.99.
