Do you have a Farm and Fleet out there in goochland? Sometimes the strangest places carry that parts you need. The next time you take that 40mi trip you should stock up!

I don't like the name NGK sounds japanese...I only buy american.

My heads use a gasket spark plug. I went to my local NAPA warehouse today to pick up a set of -8 race plugs. I had the number off an old plug but they can't find it by that number. After searching through the catalog they still couldn't find the proper part number. A quick check on the www.ngksparkplugs.com web site, they were able to find the stock number and had 30 in stock in that heat range.

Look in the racing "Product list" listing instead of the catalog. The GM 14mm tapered seat plugs are R5674-x or R5673-x. One has a projected tip, the other doesn't. Once you know what heat range you want, -7 is normal, look at the Stock Number and give that to your NAPA dealer.

If your heads use gasket plugs, the most common are R5671-x

try using ac delco iridiums i have some in my 6 cyl and my friend has some in his 8 and they work badass a bit pricey bought 7 dollars a piece but already gapped and work good with chevy motors

They have em at napa......jegs or summit adds a $10 handling fee, I just got a bunch of them from napa so I have spares

I test a lot of spark plugs at work, since my company makes about 12 million engines a year, and I also work with the spark plug manufacturers on development. One thing I have noticed about NGK plugs is that they have a wider heat range than other makes, and this makes them more forgiving. NGK is actually a subsidiary of a larger parent company that manufatures ceramic insulators, so they have their act together as far as having good quality ceramics. My company doesn't really use their plugs, mostly due to cost, but they are a very good plug. I don't favor the unplated plugs because they corrode, but they also work very well if you get tht US made ones. Don''t assume all Autolites are US made, some are made by Torch in China, and they actually look a little rougher in my opinion. I wouldn't put the Torch plugs in my car for anything.

I paid around $3 each for my race plugs.

Call Champion and ask them for a recommendation on their plugs. They are used liberally in Nascar and they can steer ya right.
If ya don't like their plug cross reference them.
Nothing like getting the info from the horses mouth.

I am using NGK NGK 5672A-8 I am going to try thr 9 heatrange when the season starts up again and see if it works better
