New O2 Sensors Improve gas Mileage?
I've got 60k miles on the V6 and I'm starting to fall below 20 mpg with 50/50 mix city/HW.
So I figure I'll try out some walker O2 sensors. I'm hoping they'll pay for themselves in gas savings over 2 years or so. Walkers just look like better sensors than Bocsh because they seem to be less generic.
Anybody have any experience doing this?
I'll post again when the results are in.

Secondly yes I do believe you're going the right route but don't stop there... (My LS1 never gets anything below 22 MPG and thats when I'm driving HARD) ... Do a tuneup, plugs - wires - air filter - fuel filter - and the FRA Mod for more air... 30 PSI on the front tires, 32 on the Rear... I've done all this and I get about 25 MPG averagely on the LS1 and TYPICALLY 27 MPG on the freeway... There have been times though that I have exceeded 30 MPG with her though so you should definately beable to crack some higher numbers... Good luck..
You seem to have alot to do with yours. before my V6 started going to hell i was getting about 22-25 in town and 32+ on the interstate. and that's running 75 mph through the mountains. I have so much issues with mine though i think i'll have to replace it. and i'm thinking about saying screw the V6
I've had the new walker O2 sensors on my car for about 2 weeks but I haven't noticed any improvement yet. My car is babied, it already has new plugs (bosch platinum 4 tips), fuel filter, K&N, FRA mod. The only reason that I can think why this car is still only getting 20 MPG is the Plug Wires are still orginal but the engines doesn't seem to be missing so I really don't understand how those could be an issue? Or maybe it is missing, maybe it's just I don't notice it?
Screw it, I'm going to go ahead and change them too, Does anyone know where I can get a really good aftermarket set? The stock replacements are at autozone for like $25 but I want some high performance stuff.
The highest I've ever gotten is 27 MPG and that was only like twice on long trips.
You can get walkers just about anywhere online. They just look like a better sensor.
