New PB 9.87@139.7 NA M6

So I went to Atco on friday for a track rental.

1st pass:right off the trailer. I loosened the clutch up the last time the trans was out. Well it was too loose. It sounded like a snowmobile running down the track at 7000rpm. 10.8x@131 crossing the line in 3rd gear LOL.

Got back to the pits, noticed thermostat was stuck closed. Fixed that then noticedd that the key fell out of the dry sump pulley. I was ready to pack it in after that. Thanks Matt@TTp for convincing me to keep going.

I drove into town and had a new key made. Installed it and ran her again.
2nd pass: Launched it harder this time. slipped in first, held in 2nd and 3rd then slipped in 4th. 10.09@ something.

Went back to the pits and decided to just through on some couterbalance instead of adjusting the clutch pressure.(running out of time)

3rd pass: Launched hard, slipped in 1st, grabbed good 2nd 3rd and 4th. 9.88@140.5

Decided to squeek in 1 more pass.

4th pass: Launched hard. Slipped all the way to a 1.459 60'.:eyes: ran good until running out of gas at the end. 9.87@139

Lessons learned.

5 gallon fuel cell is only good for 3 passes.

Atco is an awesome track.

New Jersey people are alright.

Car runs alright. I can't wait until going back with a tightened up clutch.

Thanks,

Roman

AL SS590 M6, I am happy that I stuck it out. It's been a long time coming.

IrocSS85, Don't be jealous. At times I'd gladly trade my car for a streetable fast car.

Great run, Roman

Thats faster than your nitrous run on the web site! Good air at a good NJ track = about 700 ft BELOW sea level DA.

It's been a long time since I ran 9's on spray. About 2 motors , 3 trans, 2 driveshafts and 2 rearends ago.

The car is a bit different now, but it still is interesting that it's faster now, compared to back then running a 300 hit of spray.

We'll see how far we can take it.

Thanks,

Roman
