08 vette Ls3
Guy at work just bought a 08 vette with ls3 i will be more than happy with this ls in the camaro, he did airfilter intake mod and headers full length w/ MSD wires had it dynoed and he pulled 422/429 at the wheels took it to a tuner but ecu is still to new yet, so didn't get much there, however, seems to be, according to the tuner to be "a bit to be had".....this guy does alot of vipers, he was pretty impressed with the first LS3 he's encountered, the vette pulls hard amazing.... i will be putting a crate version of this in my 1966 Chevy II, so far this vette ate a charger srt-8 and a mildly modded LS1 ws6 alive (not sure of mods BUT though we heard BOV...not sure though) Heres a big thanks to GM, F-bodyfather and GM Powertrain with this engine i don't think people will be dissapointed.

Yup, LS3 is pretty damn impressive. Most guys with the M6 & optional exhaust are pushing 390 bone stock. Pretty impressive gains to be had from mods as well.
I think plenty of people (myself included) would be surprised and disappointed if it wasn't THE engine to put in V8 Camaro.
.....I wonder how long it will take this thread to deteriorate into a debate over why the L76 V8 should be offered as the "base"?

heehee...if you don't mention it, it won't
I'm really impressed with the LS3. at first, I thought: meh, 30 more horses over an LS2. big deal...but it's so much more than that. HOW it gets those extra 30, without sacrificing fuel economy, or anything...LOVE the LS3.
Love the Camaro...1+1 = lotsa lovin'

I honestly wouldn't mind one with heads and a mild cam in my 93.

GM seems to have pulled out quite a bit more from the LS3 than they did with the LS2. Maybe the LS6 and LS7 programs have helped.
I too would be very happy with the LS3 in any version of the '10 Camaro.

30 extra horses without killing the fuel economy!?! That alone will make this a great car, but if they can get one model of the Camaro with that engine in it for around the same price as a Stang GT, I'll have to start making space in my other garage.

Actually you don`t need heads w/ the LS3 they flow 330cfm on the intake side, better than almost any aftermarket heads. On the corvette forum a guy put a mid sized LG cam, stock heads and boltons and put 503 to the tire through a mn6. LS3 is the shiznit bro!
Camaro, LS3, 230/236 cam, headers, cold air intake, tune, MT drag radials and a 4k stalled auto...possible high 10`s...All w/ stock unmolested heads...

True enough. The LS3 is a beast w/ a hotter cam in it, no head mods required!
